Bioentrepreneurship is essential to the development of biotechnology
Participants will discover how entrepreneurial spirit has spurred on the development of biotechnology; they will learn to detect new ideas in science and when and why it is worth starting a company with them; they will learn about the main business models for start-ups in biotechnology and how they have evolved over the years.
First steps: from idea to first rounds of funding
When is it a good time to strike out on your own? When can a science idea become a business? How do you come up with a successful strategy? How do you focus the first rounds of funding? How do you evolve over the first years? Participants will find answers to these questions from three entrepreneurs that have first-hand experience of the initial phases of a start-up.
